Can someone explain to me the recommended why to play black when white plays 6.h3 against the Najdorf? Including grandmaster games would be helpful while also telling me the main ideas and plans for both sides.

Thanks

If youre referring to this position?

The only square that blacks LSB can move to is d7.  Not a very active square.  And at some point supports g4, and a kingside pawn storm.

Not saying this is correct, its just what i see.

Does black usually continue with the traditional 6...e5 or does he adopt a “small center” with 6...e6 typically?

Depends...

...e6 is more of a slower buildup, where ...e5 gains more space, but also leave the "Boleslavsky hole" on d5.

Interesting. Is their any famous or recently annotated games in this line that anybody knows of?

If I face this with black I prefer 6.e5 followed by 7.Be6. Of course I am no expert on the subtleties of the Najdorf!

6. … e5 and 6. … e6 are about equally popular lately. Anand sometimes plays it as White. Shirov used to do so.

This was years ago, but it's still more than enough for your purposes I think, as he does a pretty good job covering the whole opening from both sides.

Bobby Discher played it a few times. His book has some analysis of this line.
