7...c5 is actually the good book line for black. if white takes, then Nd7 and he can't save both. if he pushes, then e6! and white has some troubles.
A novelty in the Alekhine

yeah prawn, thats what happened to me, in a game i am playing, it didnt go the way i posted in the op but i did play Na6 and then c5 and my opponent played d5 but i just about have ruined the massive pawn center he has

figured as much, i lost the game i was playing with the move, but that was cause i played some stupid blunders after winning an exchange

and ur opponent didn't blunder the exchange?

well i only noticed the move tree moves after the fact and i was blundering epicly at midnight
I don't think u understood my point. White is better(+/= probably-normal opening advantage for white) after 10.d5. But, you acted like you lost because u blundered. But, acted as if you didn't get into a better position because of an opponents blunder(U "won" the exchange. But, your opponent didn't win a piece or whatever-u blundered-see the point)

exactly and most people i know otb would gladly exchange the pawn and give me a powerful knight without knowing it

I really don't see any reason not to play 6...c5. At best you'll get positions that probably aren't as good and at worst who knows what resorces you lose by not playing it.
I never said not to play the move. He seemed to think the move gave him an advantage though. Just giving my opinion of the resultant position. D5 is the natural move and dxc5 is pretty anti positional it seems. This is what heisman calls hope chess.

dude i never use databases, i just use my knowledge, and i did see it and figured my oponent did aswell, but i knew it would be devastating to me at that point, i just wanted to put it up to you guys to see what it was like and your opinions

Jet if you want to get better in chess you need to lose that mind set.Dont play hope chess."I hope they dont know/see that".Its cool that you play the alek. just try to use more than data bases... use Books.Go over games.Buy the MCO.Look at you tube for instruction, type in alekhine defense and watch what they talk about WITH a board in front of you.You will get better faster.Good luck.If you need help in the future, I WILL HELP you...
well i accept your help
@erikido23: dude you need to look it up, it is extremly tactical, why else would black let white build up such a masive center if he doesnot want to destroy it
Hi all, as some of you know, i am a big fan of the Alekhine defense, and love the tactical exploits of its variations. I am here to announce that mayby there is a strange move out there that might help Black destroy Whites pawn center
