What you display is not the Old Benoni. It is the Clarendon Court Defense.
Am I missing something???? (PLEASE READ)
Claredon Court is sound, GM Jon Levitt has published some material on it IIRC. Not an equalising attempt though, if you put in some moves white should still be getting a reasonable advantage.
That publication of his was the very first Foxy Video from back in 1993. I'm pretty sure that his assessments there are not very accurate. White has found better moves since then.

Am I missing something here????
The old benoni defense has been considered to be suboptimal with computer analysis, but this clearly contradicts this view. Above is a little-known variation that is EQUAL by stockfish's standard's. Am I missing something, or is the old benoni actually a very strong response to d4? I've never seen it been deemed near-equal at high engine analysis
