Annoying Queen

Hi, I encountered this trap some times and only sometimes I managed to handle with it.

What is the best way to react or to avoid it?

You shouldn't try to avoid such things but instead learn to deal with them. However, to answer your question the way you asked, you can avoid it by always playing e6 instead of e5.

your opponent played badly, and h6 and g6 were blunders

It's easy to bust.

1.e3 e5 2.Qh5? Nc6! (Protect the unguarded pawn) 3.Bc4 g6! (Now that e5 is guarded, push the Queen away) 4.Qf3 Nf6! (Blocking the mate)

Problem solved!  You've avoided it!  "It" is the trap, not the Qh5 move.  The move 2.Qh5 is a move that only a moron would play!

4.Qf3 is very bad, only a moron would play it
