If they can carry out every single best move, either they're cheating or they're memorizing lines, which is hard to do for 110 moves.

Lol, you literally said before that you play these openings by memorising engine lines.

For 110 moves no? 110 moves, sounds pretty normal. For our next trick we will recite your ipv4 adre-

Fr man, can you just take a look at the posts? exd4 is the best move.

You forgot to use Ahmed's 80 move long engine analysis to see that at the end of the line it's only +1.1

SamuelAjedrez95

There is no point in trying to reason with him. His thing is that he posts these absolute trash, useless lines and then defends them to the death, getting mad at anyone who criticises them.

Sea_TurtIe

refuted agian, +2 at the end of the top line

Sea_TurtIe

dont forget, if black plays any worse white is dead winning, quite a few of those moves were only moves

Lol, well it's too bad you're up against Ahmed, who memorised all the top Stockfish recommendations.

gotham has preached this opening to beginners, it literally has a refutation lol

samuel before the chess boom gotham was actually a good youtuber (regardless of his opening recommendations not being great)

He still is. He’s very funny and charismatic, and his GTE series is still some of the most helpful content on YouTube for lower players if one actually pays attention.

I agree. It's also annoying. I feel like he kinda sold himself. Nowdays you can't play Caro without getting called a Gotham fan.

True. And its completely justified tbh.

"Im gonna play the scotch game, mm yes!"
*Caro kann defence.*

That's about it. I just want an aggressive position. Not aiming for anything trappy but something nice and aggressive would be cool.

Grob gambit. Overrun your opponents with flank pawns and queen moves.
While some of it is refuted, there is a chance to step into completely new territory.
