Ave Comrades !
If i may point out , then "Gambit" is not sacrificing anything but sacrificing pawns only.
so macer75, you were wrong and be ashamed of what you did and delete your account !
Apparently you've never heard about Muzio and Allgaier
I was referring to this. Both Muzio Gambit and Allgaier Gambit (both of which are variations of King's Gambit) gambit a knight for an attack against the Black king.
Ave Comrade !
ajmeroski , they start from pawn sacrifice and that is why it is known has gambit !!
by the way , a knight is not sacrificed in Allgaier gambit.
The Queens gambit does not lead to a lost position. If the Queens gambit player is weak and his opponant strong he might lose but not because of the opening. It goes like this
2.c4 (if black plays d5 x c4 thats Queens gambit accepted
if black playes e6 thats Queens gambit declined
if black plays c6 thats the slav)
none of this lead to a winning or losing position of course black could have played kings Indian, Queens Indian etc. If you go back in history the chess players from India gave the world the idea of meating 1.d4 with Nf6 (the Indian defences) they donot lead to a won or lost position either.
It is wheather or not you play better than the other man/women.
Computers suck any one who annalysises with one learns nothing.
