Best Opening

If you are playing with white which is the best opening move and why

I believe scholastic openings are pretty good even for GM's. Most players prefer e4 or d4, but my personal preferance is 1.Nf3 2.d4

e4, d4, or c4 are the best ways to start.  For more info refer to the game explorer on this website.

d4 is my personal favourite

f4..is good too.. but you must research about it first

Give the move Nf3 or d3 or else

e4 because it gains kingside space, and in most openings an aggressive approach

I like d4 because you can often play the queen's gambit, which isn't really a gambit at all

I don't think there is one opening that is best. Both e4 and d4 make a direct claim on the centre. They often lead to different styles of game and so d4 may suit (and be preferred by) one player and vice versa for e4. But Nf3 and c4 are also strong moves and can be seen at the top level.

I like the scotch or four knights scotch. Both are pretty great imo : D

i like playing d4

I play d4 and e4.When i start to lose with d4 i change to e4 and vice versa.

e4 and d4 are both educational.

I prefer Reti Opening

Variation : Queen's Gambit

1.Nf3 d5 2.d4 e6 3.c4

The scotch is blatantly the best opening.
