white can get a sharp game after e4 no matter what you do there is no way around it
kings indian might be worth looking at but TheDrevland is right there really is no way to avoid a sharp/tactical game if white wants to play that way
I'm curious what openings are best for black to play against e4 in order to avoid sharp tactical play and instead have a game more focused on positioning and strategy. Any suggestions?
