I Just Destroyed someone in the caro-kann even though idk any theory!

Caro is very good for <1300 - 1400 level

I'm not sure this makes much sense. Knowing the basics of openings doesn't automatically make you higher rated or have a better understanding.

It does.

If you know HOW to arrange your forces in the opening, without any specific variation memorization, you can enter the crucial middlegame part of the game without fear.

But players at my level do know how to 'arrange their forces' in the opening although sometimes the opening is played inaccurately even if it is following the basics.

Caro Cann requires the study of the theory behind it but it is so worth it. Most beginners I've observed do the Italian or a e4 opening so you have lots of time to play it.

I have been playing Caro Kann every single time I have black against e4. It is definitely my favourite opening at the moment and I have been going over theory. My problem is that I don't have a strong opening line for white.

Definitely look into the Italian Note Ruy Lopez is more solid but is less fun in my opinion.

I would play the London system I am  elo 600 and I love to play London system  as white and I prefer to take the center with both center pawns and defend them with the knight and placement doesn't usually matter for me

I think so that Italian game is best for white and the King's Indian is best for black

I used to play the Italian but switched to Ruy Lopez. I would say the Ruy Lopez is more fun. People who say the Ruy Lopez is positional and boring clearly haven't seen the games of Kasparov, Tal, Fischer, Polgar, etc.

It has a slow start but can develop into crazy kingside attacks.

As white, 1. e4: exchange French and Caro Kan, Morra Gambit, and Scotch. As black, Petroff and Slav, and then 1. ... c6 and 2. ... d5 against literally everything else. Good for now and good forever.
