Kasparov for the Sicilian. Anand for the Ruy Lopez, and Fischer for the white side of Ruy Lopez.
Best players of each Opening
Great question... I am actually going to start studying the English and was wondering who a good GM would be to analyze for that opening.
Any thoughts??

Wolfgan Uhlmann. Never a super GM, but has been so loyal to the English, French, and KID throughout his career that he becomes an excellent source of material for all three.
Some others that jump to mind:
KID: Uhlmann, Kasparov, Radjabov
Petroff: Gelfand
Kramnik: Catalan
Najdorf Sicilian: Kasparov, Fischer
Leningrad Dutch: Malaniuk
Colle: Jussupow
Tromp: Hodgson, Bellon Lopez
Hedgehog: Suba

Oh, and before he made the switch to d4 more often, Larry Christiansen, if you prefer to play in a more aggressive style English.

Never heard of an opening called Kramnik. I should look up that GM Catalan he is probably pretty strong.
Catalan is a Spanish GM. Plays the ever-loving hell of the Kramnik.

Aronian is probably the champion of the Marshall Attack and Berlin Defence.
Tal was great on the black side of the Modern Benoni.
It is a close toss up between Fischer and Kasparov for the Najdorf, but I think I would go with Fischer on this one.
Of course let's not forget Nakamura, who championed 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5?! as white
Excellent list! I've learned more from this forum in about 2 days than I have at any other forum community.

The question of who is the best player of all time is very common obviously. But what about if we could focus the question more as it pertains to the openings. Who is the best at each opening?
Or another way, who among the most well-known/"big name" GMs would you recommend for studying each opening?
For example, I assume for the Caro-Kann and/or the QID, most people would suggest to study Karpov?
