Whether this form of exchange variation is better for white than 3...Be7 4pxp pxp 5Bf4 isn't that obvious. Whether white club players have the technique to convert from either one, equally so.

Does anyone know the pros and cons of this line? It avoids the typical exchange variation with Bg5 but the bishop just comes to f4 instead. It just seems like quite a nice line but I can't find much information about it.
