So there is this line i am analyzing.

And i have no idea how to feel of this final position after nf6. Engine prefers white, but its so crooked, that i think its fair game for either side. I dont see any improvements in this early ba6 line.

the alternative seems to be to not play ba6, and aim for some other plan, i know some lines of the french advanced with 4.ne7 aim for nec6, b6 , ba6, but with the knight on e2 instead of f3, idk how confortable viable this plan is. They are other ideas like, 7.a5, 7.qc8 7.qd7 etc, but they all seem to have some major downside, and cant quite put my finger on blacks best course of action here.

The third alternative is to suggest, either a different knight move other than 6.ng8 like 6.ne4, or 6.nfd7 but both are heavily punished. for example, 6...ne4 7.nb1! and the knights existence on e4 is precarious. likewise, 6...nfd7 7.nf4 qe7 8.nb5 is bad news. likewise, 7...g6 8.h4 and  9.qg4 is also bad.

the last suggestion is to not play 5.d5 and try something else, but

-5.bb4 is just plain bad despite Naka sometimes getting away with it in very fast time controls

5. the traditional antidote of 5.c5 is met with 6.d5! and this line is probably refutation territory.

5.be7, 6.e5 nd5 7.nxd5 bxd5 8.0-0, with c4 to follow, and moves like bc2 -qd3 ect. Next.

5. d6 is the engine's choice, but i find that black's position is very difficult to play. White has from countless ideas like 6.d5 or 6.0-0 and 7.d5, to 6.f4 7.0-0 8.qe1! or even 8.e5 and black often needs to play very precise unintuitive lines just to be still clearly worse.

5. nc6 i have tried to make it work but after analyzing the arising positions after. 6. a3 d5 7.e5, im pretty convinced the engine overestimates blacks resource in this cramped position.

this has been pretty much the only thorn in my side on 1.e4 b6.   the nge2 variation is major headache. It's fortunate i rarely see it.

Any opinion from stronger players would be welcomed. any Analysis from @Pfren would be especially welcome.

I play this Nc3 and Nge2 line as White, and I have never had someone play Ng8 against me, not even once. You can bet your ass you're never going to reach the final position in your diagram otb, like ever. To me, it looks like some crazy engine sideline of a sideline.

this is one of those borderline positions. IF white doesnt play d5, in this move or the move prior, i feel black gets a fine game, after 0-0, c5 etc (if e5, black will play ne8). But i dont like this position for black, especially if white plays ng3 next turn.

i have tried to play nbd7 instead of be7 first, the idea being, if d5, black can play e5 and g6, and enter a sort of funky KID-like position. Engine doesnt like it, but i feel i can manage in this position. The problem is that, if white plays for early f4 instead after nbd7 skipping on the d5 pawn, black gets a very difficult position, with threats, of d5 or e5 everywhere, and black has no reliable setup. Every move to just stay in the games seems to be a concrete continuation.
