If he plays f4 first try out the From gambit!!!
If you're playing an experienced Bird player, you will be shot down as soon as you try 1... e5.
You have been warned.

But If you play an experienced From gambit player YOU will be quickly massacred, and disposed of, and have you running away from the board crying!!!

The From gambit is not very good at all. All white has to do is avoid some of black's tricks and black will suffer.

Easier said than done. in a tournament situation, against even a slightly prepared opposition white will soak up a lot of pressure, and if he is not careful will get mated quickly, or at worst be down in material, or return the pawn with equal chances for both sides.
Thanks everyone for your input. I think I have a much better idea of how to play with black. The only question I have now is, if white pushes f4-f5, should I take with the g pawn or leave it there? If I leave it, which pawn should I recapture with?
And since I'm aiming for the e5-e4-e3 squares, I should also expect Rae8 sometime in the game, right (if I get the chance)?
