Historically, Nepo has been almost exclusively an e4 player, so expect a lot of Sicilians and Ruys when Nepo is white. Magnus has a more varied repertoire and as black Nepo has generally played the Sicilian vs. e4 and Grunfeld vs. d4. I would be shocked if Nepo played his French. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Magnus play an English, though.

Since a month I have a huge up to date database, I feel like a boy in a candy shop. Some directions on what to choose would be nice. I am not planning to play the openings myself. I am just curious if there are predictions. What are they gonna play?
