I play the CK with black. Feel free to discuss any ideas here. I believe discussing the ideas within positions may be a good way to know what to do.

Best book I have read on this subject is (Black & White). Anatoly Karpov and Alexander Beliavsky. Interesting and easy to read and a gateway to more complex pure variation books on the opening.

I don't know any books for White specifically on the Caro-Kann Advance.

Vassilios Katronias's Beating the Caro-Kann (c.1994) has 18 pages on the Advance Variation with a lot of looks at positions that tend to arise.  Suetin's The Caro-Kann Defence (c.1988) has 10 pages of balanced view for both sides, which focuses more on variations than positions.

There is an older 1997 book Caro-Kann Advance by Byron Jacobs

I play the Caro-Kann and recommend Lars Schandorff's book from Quality Chess.
