What do you mean exactly ?
Explain Trompowsky to me
If your opoment goes to e4 or e5 do the opposite to them and it is the same with d4 and d5.
I tried to follow your advice and have a problem:
Im playing white:
1.e4. My opponent played 1..e5.And now i cant opposite my opponent so i 2. resigned.Does this mean white loses by force?
No you can take it.
Actually an e4 pawn can't take a e5 pawn.
Erm...
bad as the reason for e4 or d4 is to control the center
