Choosing openings for black

Try a Sicilian (I don't play the Sicilians) maybe the nadjorf. And for d4 the Benonis (there are many choose one) is aggressive, but your king will be under attack.

I could recommend the Owen defence vs e2-e4 (1e2-e4 b7-b6!?) and the English defence vs either d2-d4 or c2-c4 (1d2-d4 b7-b6 2c2-c4 Bc8-b7).Quite interesting, off the beaten track and offering good play for the second player in my opinion. And the added bonus,a common reply (b7-b6) against e2-e4,d2-d4 or c2-c4.

u have black, don't expect to find a defence where your king won't be under attack, there is no miracle.
I wonder how can some advice Najdorf, Benoni, did they read u?
Caro Kan is interesting, but again, white has lots of stuff where u are under attack.
I would say scandinavian, with Qa5 or Qd6, where positions are safe and solid, because white lacks thrusts in this structure.
On 1.c4, why not the symmetrical, or 1.c4 e5 with Nf6-d5 next, but u can follow what i advice on 1.d4, so 1.c4 f5.
If u don't want too much theory, have a look on S.Williams video about classical dutch, but it needs u play french defence because he advocates the move order 1.d4 e6...
EDIT : 1...b6 is also a nice try if u don't want to spend time on theory. Again, see S.Williams video series on english defense, where ideas can be similar to classical dutch.

You have abandoned a bunch of games, resigned others in 6 moves or less.
You hang pieces, miss simple tactics.
You dont follow opening principles.
But you want to learn openings 20 moves deep?
Openings arent your problem. You need ot follow opening principles, work on tactics, and double check your moves.

b) the reason why I chose Caro Kann is because of Black's more-or-less easy development to decent squares, and a favorabale pawn structure with few pawn commitments. Yes, white gets the initiative, but with precise defending and decent counterplay down the queenside, a shot at White's position could be on the cards.
But be warned: draw are quite frequent with this defense, so be satisfied if the positon ends up a dry all-square position.
PS : if you dont like the CK, then scandinavian defense is certainly fine.

You are still a beginner. Why don't you just answer 1...e5 and 1...d5. Learn classical openings before heading for Sicilians or Benonis in which your lack of tactical vision will get you killed. Against 1.c4 you can always answer 1...c5 and copy what your opponent does.
Good advice!

But you want to learn openings 20 moves deep?
AT MOST. I meant I DON'T want to learn a bunch of theory. I'd love to not have to learn openings anywhere NEAR that deep.
And trust me, my chess.com games represent neither my style or my skill level, especially my most recent ones, because I had a terrible losing streak. I'm no grandmaster, but I know where I'm at, and I know that one of my problems is openings. I'm just looking for a framework in which to develop my game more solidly.
As for the rest, thanks for the advice. I will look into these suggestions.

I've been playing 1...d6 against everything, aiming for a Philidor or Old Indian, fairly low theory, solid and pieces tend to stay on the board longer to make things interesting by finding many playable sidelines within. I tend to play Be7 instead if the fianchetto simply because it's a safer option against the h4, g4, h5 stuff White can throw around.

The Tarrasch against 1 d4 and the 2...Nf6 Scandinavian against 1 e4 make for an ok repertoire for black, they both fight to avoid being cramped and for active pieces and yet are fairly solid. Neither has the very 'best' of reputations but even GMs play them so they are playable. Smerdon's Scandinavian book is a must buy for the serious 2...Nf6 Scandinavian player. In my opinion The Tarrasch Defense by Sam Collins book is the best book for club players in the Tarrasch.
I know, ANOTHER forum post about choosing openings.
I find myself mostly comfortable with the openings resulting from 1.e4 with the white side, however, I struggle to find suitable openings for black. Previously I tried the KID and the French, but I always get into trouble with the KID and I don't want to have to study too much theory to avoid this, and I find the positions that arise from the French when my opponents play properly either bore me, or are too 'risky' for me, in the sense that my king comes under attack.
Just one response to 1.d4 and one to 1.e4 is what I'm looking for (1.c4 too, but only if the 1.d4 defense doesn't cover it). I know there isn't going to be an opening that fits ALL my requirements, but I'm looking for something that's in general solid, with the POTENTIAL for agression by black, where the king doesn't usually come under heavy fire. Also, I don't want to learn any more than 20 moves AT MOST of theory per line.
Any suggestions?
