The Baltic Defense (1.d4 d5 2.c4 Bf5) is an unsual response to the Queen's Gambit that I don't believe an opening book has ever been written about. Its name derives from the Estonian de-facto world champion Paul Keres , who advocated it. THis line has also been played by Alexi Shirov on occasion.
The issue with the opening is that Black must defend continuously in most of the lines, and is under constant pressure. But I doubt that physcological aspect is really a refutation.
Hmm Lokaz, if you are interested in making yourself an opening book to study on the Baltic Defense, the CPT he recommended above is nice and easy to use and free.
Any good database program can be used to do this. Create one game - it doesn't even have to be a complete game - with the opening you want to make the "book" on. Then search for games with the earliest unique position in a large database. Just select all the results (or check and eliminate doubles, fragments, etc. - you should probably screen for at least master ratings unless it's a very weird line) and drop them into the stem game. They will appear as notes to the given moves.
At least, that's the way it works with Chessbase and the earlier versions of Chess Assistant.
You can also add your analysis (or others') into the notes, which will appear as alternatives just as the imported games do. You don't even have to import entire games, but doing so does allow you to play out the idea as the players did in real time..
You can create trees to print out tables like ECO/MCO opening lines, if you like, too. With those it is usually best to clip games at a certain move number, especially if there are a lot of them.
And of course, if you have a large Datrabase, using SCID you can easily create good quality opening reports, eg:

I am very interested in creating my own Opening Book for an opening that I don't see tons of data on. What is the best software for making said Opening Book that is easy to use? It doesn't have to be any kind of software that integrates with some kind of chess program/engine, it just needs to be easy to study and pracitce and update.
