the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit is not a d4 and c4 opening

Beat me to it!

And then he also says no e4 openings unless it starts d4.  What a joke.

Also no 4-letter F or S words?  Pa-leez!

Some folk says five openings seen from d4/c4 will show:

Slav (another 4 letter S-word)

Semi-Slav (a pair of 4 letter S-words hyphenated)

And three other openings!

1) e4 openings can be played without d4

2) I think he meant no swear words with f or s, thus, F*** or S*** not allowed

Thank you for your declaration of my rules. You are the best guy currently on the forum!

I dont usually play 1.c4, so I will only be discussing the 1.d4 openings

Those openings are very positional and strategical, so don’t bother much trying to find tactics… Most lines are closed, uncommonly semi-open and rarely open.
White will try to gain space, while black will try to keep the game closed until he’s ready for a strike.

Except the 1. c4 ... c5 variety, which can be completely tactical and wild!

Btw Blackmar-diemer opening is a d4 opening but causes itself to bring its e4 square up as its 2nd move

BDG is a d4 e4 opening not d4 c4
