Danish Gambit

This is a cool gambit that can be played in many situations.. Norm:

Sicilian

If the gambit is declined there is no real disadvantage. Another variation is the half-danish:

It still has the open-ness and developmental advantages of the danish. Note that the bishops can be easily developed.

Here is an interesting variation that is sometimes played by black.

This is the final variation and the main defense played by black, it is almost a counter-gambit, leading to an interesting position but said to be relatively equal.

It is definetly fun to play in blitz games.

I like to play the Danish from time to time. It can lead to interesting positions very quickly. Here is a short game in the Danish, it is one of my favourites.

Danish is fine, leads to equal game with best play, but look at decline variation, u must be prepared to play IQP positions which not everyone likes
