I’m almost 900 rapid and don’t wanna mess this up, but I only know offensive openings.
Any long drawn out defense openings out there that would be good for me to use?

I dont really see a reason to limit yourself with drawish openings, but if you want something a bit more solid and something that is easy to learn i would reccomend the london system, colle cystem, or stonewall. Of course opening studies should is not going to be how your improve, try to work on chess puzzles/tactics to improve your tactical ability.

There is no such thing as an Offensive opening or a Defensive Opening.

An opening is simply called an Opening, Attack, System, or Defense based on who makes the first move that distinguishes it from another opening.

For example, 1.e4 tells you nothing.  The fact that Black played 1...c5 distinguishes the Opening.  A Sicilian.  It is called a defense because Black made the first move to distinguish it.

There is also no such thing as "White is playing X and Black is playing Y".  It is one opening each game.  If the game starts 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5, the Game is a French Defense, regardless of which variation of it is played.  If White plays the move 3.exd5?!, both sides are playing the French Defense, Exchange Variation.

So don't get hung up on offensive naming, like Torre ATTACK or English OPENING.  It may be an aggressive line you are playing of some opening named as a DEFENSE.

Offensive openings are openings played by offensive players like Tal, Fischer, Kasparov.
Defensive openings are openings played by defensive players like Smyslov, Petrosian, Karpov.

Yes. This clearly shows that there is no such thing as an Offensive opening or a Defensive Opening.

It's more passive, aggressive, and/or dynamic. That's the only good way to describe it. Also, it depends on how you play them too like the Semi-Slav can be passive if you play the QGD variation or you could get a very active position with the Botvinnik and Moscow Variations.
