Sicilian is a very good opening. I prefer the French but I do play into a Sicilian if they develop their knight on the 2nd move to avoid those idiots that play the Exchange because they are afraid of "theory". Also, it gives me another repertoire against e4 which is useful when they play the Exchange Variation
Do you think Sicilian is a good opening?

It’s a good opening, but not necessarily easy to play.
Gotham likes to say he doesn't recommend anyone to play the Sicilian unless they are 2000+. I find this stupid as by playing any opening, you start to learn different ideas and if the goal is to improve, why is it so bad to play a difficult opening?

He recommended some less theoretical Sicilians though.
And he recommends the London while at the same time hates facing it. And people listen to this. Better is Chess Coach Andras. The man goes against the London and recommends playing theoretical positions. His reasoning is to learn the position and that no one at 1800 below really knows theory anyway. Also, his content is more about learning chess than watching him guess the ELO

See you better not say anything about gowtham chess as he is the most succesful yt content creator with greator number of subscribers
Ya but his statement about sicilian looks stupid and he says same thing for grunfeld also but u won't learn untill you play and even if u are 2000 like nickolay Or 1500-1600 like me it gonna take same time to learn the theory
And he never stops someone from playing sicilian who r interested in it and r learning it

So? The number of subs someone has does not automatically validate everything they say. Have your own opinions for once and stop being a follower. I can say whatever I want about him, because he isn’t god. He’s just some dude.
(btw, I like gotham, and I am subbed to him. treating his words like law isn’t right, though.)

The Sicilian is a terrible opening. That's why it's never played at the highest level.
But if you ask smarter questions, I'd probably say the Najdorf/Scheveningen, Kalashnikov, Mengarini, and Alapin lines are the most interesting.
For some sharp attacks, study the Richter-Rauzer and Nyezhmetdinov Attack.

so here there are 3 sides
1 side said Sicilian is suck, other said it a strong opening and the last it's both strong and suck
seems sicilian is a bad opening

Wrong
The last told that it's good but that beginners shouldn't study it's deep theory.
I think sicilian is good because we can atk in the queen side and control the center
sometimes i think sicilian is suck
But at my level no1 plays the marcozy bind
