Hi,

Just wondering....what is this opening ?  Is it a Ruy Lopez variation ?

1. e4   e5

2. Nf3  d6

3. Nc3  Nc6........

It looks like an offshoot line in the Philidor Defense to me...

The Ruy is signaled by: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5
