f4 is better in high levels and when you know how to use it.

It's a perfectly reasonable opening.  Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise - unless they are stronger than Capablanca, Carlsen, Kramnik and Larsen.  They all used it.  Fischer even used it by transposition to beat Mecking.
