Nice game. And an accelerated dragon, not the dragon. :-)

This is great. Someone should add the position after 8...Na5 to Tactics Trainer

Didn't analyse it in detail, could 9...Nxb3 prevent the worst case scenario?

Oh yes youre right Im sorry, it transposes to an old open sicilian. Whatever it is, after Nf6  its not accelerated dragon anymore.

In-fact, it still is:

Yes but if you look this game up @ chessgames.com , you'll see its an open old sicilian, after 0-0 and Bb3, followed by Na5 its no dragon anymore. But this topic is about the beauty of this game and not the debate about the name of the opening here =P

There are a lot of traps in the Sicilian Dragon, with practically any variation.  I usually try to simplify when someone plays the Accelerated Dragon against me.  Here is a quickie.

Looks like a case for e6 as one of blacks moves.

Generally, in any game with any type of position with the Dragon, a trap can come up at any time. That is what makes the variation so unique. Great game by the way!
