hi,

I have seen explanation by a GM in Chess.com for the following line

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.Nxf7

He said no need to play Nxf7. Still you can force the oponet and win the game.

can some one help me to get that URL. I am so curious to learn. I forgot to save the URL.

He was probably talking about 6.d4, which is known as the Lolli Attack. Eric schiller has a pretty detailed explanation of it.

oh! good to know. Thank you Sir. But I am so sure. I have seen that line. He said here no need to play Nxf7 and still you can force the oponent to win easily. Ah! I am not able to get that in this portal. It would be really great if any one can help me on this.

There are many ways to force you opponent to win, but that is not usually one's goal. Smile

ya, you are right. I would like to know that line. I am missing here and there to trap my oponents.

I think you misunderstood, I was not saying that learning the trap was wrong or anything like that, just that you had made a word transposition.

Also the chess.com database lists 6.Nxf7, 6.d4, and 6.d3 as the only moves played by any masters from that position.

hmm..Ok. Thanks a lot Ry888.

the point is theyre not supposed to take the pawn in the first place! if they do they lose! you have to go Na5!

or you can simply do Bc5 in the first place instead of d5... threatening big attack after Bxf2+
