Hello,

I played this game, and I wanted to show all of you. Has anyone else ever played a Giuoco Piano?

4.b3 it's a pointless move. Your opponent played the magnificent Ne7 which is rubbish but after Nf6 instead White's have to think a lot what the heck had in mind with 4.b3.

Of course, 6.d4 its hilarious also.

To answer your question...No this is a rare crap you played.

Hello,

Before I say what I want to say, please keep in mind I am NOT trying to be rude whatsoever.

I am still learning when it comes to chess, and in this "rare crap I played," I believe I learned some things.  I see the mistakes and bad moves you guys pointed out, and I will learn from them, and become better. Because I will learn from these mistakes, this game is not bad in my mind. It is a learning experience.

Whether you win or lose, no played game is "crap" if you learn from it and have fun. That is how I look at it.

Anyway, Thanks for the advice on 4.b3 and 6.d4. I will consider it next time I play.

Stop playing the computer Jared!

Hello,

I actually have been playing a guy on this forum 3-4 times a day for the past 5 days. I only played the computer this time because he wasnt available at the time.

He has been teaching me, and I have been learning a lot.

Hello,

Thanks for the tip. Yes, The Knight at f4 did make me nervous.

As for the Rooks, That is something I try to do. I try to use ALL my pieces, Rooks included. I find if I can get a Rook out and use it, I can get ahead in the game. As you can see, on move 34.Rg8, I was tempting the computers Rook to take it, then use the pawn to take that Rook then promote to Queen. The Bishop was covering the pawn, so the King couldnt take it.

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

I ALWAYS play the Giuoco Piano

On move 4 you make a strange variation but it's not bad for white. Btw you missed 6.Bxf7! A common theme if black doesnt play properly.

This started as Giuoco Piano but after 4.b3 becomes Giuoco piano ma non troppo , an opening that still waits to be discovered.
