Play the Siclian Kan.
If white plays the English Attack, he scores something like 15%, as there's nothing for him to attack on the kingside (black likely won't bother castling), f3 is wasted, and black's counterattack that starts with central thrusts and eventually drives away the knights and bombards the queenside becomes awfully hard to stop.
I need help desperately. This thursday I'm playing against my good friend dilip (1800 USCF) with the black pieces in our club championship. I'll play anything but he has a very strong and solid repertoire with white
Also, just so you guys know my style Im a tactical player
Im just using the Dragon as an example but this Be3 english/yugoslav attack setup he plays against ALL the sicilians. Against the French he plays the advance
This is what he plays against the French. Its very solid and I'm having a hard time playing against it
I would play the Two Knights (he plays the Italian Game) but he plays d3 and its a very positional game. Im a tactics person.
I'm even considering the Caro Kann. Ive played almost all the Sicilians at one point or another and even play the Latvian. The only thing is Im on a winning streak and dont want to ruin it.
