How can I build a repertoire against 1.e4

On the white side though I am conversant with 1.e4 I find it rather more enjoyable to play the English opening. I just love that opening. On the black side, I like playing the French but I avoid it because I hate the exchange french. I also like the Najdorf but I hate facing anti-Sicilians or something ridiculous like the Bowdler attack. Then I treat it like a reverse English but I donno theres not enough sting in it.

Against 1.d4 I play the King's Indian defense which I have a very good rate with. I have even beaten my coach with the King's Indian once. I also like the Semi-Slav.

Basically, I want either a good positional struggle or a really sharp game. With 1..e5 I easily fall prey to traps.

What should I play? Pirc? Alekhine?

French exchange shouldn't be a problem...
