How helpful is chessbook?
Absolutely is useful if you want a bonus to quickly learning a new or solidifying knowledge of an existing repertoire. I would suggest looking at Youtube reviews to see the various features that it can offer you, but note that as it is being updated frequently the Youtube reviews can get out of date fairly quickly.
My sources: Being an avid user of Chessbook for the past 6 months.
Chessbook was a game-changer for me, especially given my memory isn’t fantastic. I get to build my own opening lines based on what I like to play and am most comfortable with. In the past, I would watch videos on openings, and it was expected that I would just remember all the side lines and traps and details, etc, but with Chessbook you just plug them in and never have to worry about just “remembering”. Same with games I play - with CB, I never will make the same mistake twice, as I just plug in the opening where I didn’t make an ideal move, and I correct it (and next time I crush that opening line). Note that I go through all my repertoires daily, which is important. I literally play like stockfish for at least the first 6-7 moves in any opening thanks to this app! I know I sound like an ad for chessbook, but I promise I have no stake in this; I can’t praise it enough!
The app chessbook got stunning & excellent reviews and now the question is is it worth spending another 80 bucks a year for a diamond member like me of chess.com on this program?
I tried the free version as a chess beginner and it sounded useful for me, but it is worth the 💰
Anybody knowledgeable please come forward.
