"Im seriously struggling vs the caro kahn !"

Fischer also struggled against the Caro-Kann.
He played the Two Knights Variation 1 e4 c6 2 Nc3 d5 3 Nf3, the Panov Attack 1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 exd5 cxd5 4 c4, the Classical 1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 Nc3 and he ended up with the exchange variation.

Thank You 😊

There are so many options against the Caro-Kann.

Classical, Advance, Two-Knights, Exchange, Panov, Fantasy, Breyer ...

You might want to consider what you play against the French as a starting point. (If you like the Classical or the Advance against the French, for example, you might want to do the same against the Caro-Kann ...)

Though as a Caro-Kann player, I must declare: the Caro-Kann can't be destroyed. tongue.png

for example your pawns are on e4,e5,d4,d5 so it makes a pawn cube

So you became overrated and now want to take it out on the C-K?

Aww....poor baby rating crashing down...aww...

Mean C-K, mean....

Why dont I win in 4 moves....aww, poor me.

I tell you what, if you cant beat em, join em.

Play 1 c3 and win. Problem solved?

btw have anyone of you got the legendary pawn cube in caro kann ever ??

What is the "pawn cube"? I never heard of this term.

pawns on c5 d5, c4 d4 like in the Queen's Gambit Declined, Tarrasch var.

as I always say:

Caro-Kann, Advanced var. c4.

this guy - Stepan, he plays the Caro Kann, so he knows what's best against it.

There are two lines, created by GM Nigel Short - the best fighter against the Caro Kann. One is with Nc3 - a more aggressive one. and one with Nf3 - positional, came later, and considered better. they're all in the above video.

The Van Der Weil attack, 9:55.

The Short var. 3:55

Caro-Kann is probably one of the openings I know least about. If I get it somehow (either side) in a casual game, then I just develop and play logically and I usually get a fine position. This opening isn't something I'm too knowledgeable in, but I don't fear this opening by any means either.

Because it isn't a "real" chess term. It was created from a video by IM Eric Rosen I believe. It refers to doubled pawns next to doubled pawns for the same side (forming a "cube"). I'll see if I can find the video ("cube" also in thumbnail).

Apparently, Rosen has several "pawn cube" videos, so I just clicked the first I came across:

oh, btw, this "pawn cube" is objectively a weakness for the side with it. Yeah it looks funny, but "indestructible" is just a sense of humor.

I was struggling against the French, Caro, Pirc, and then I decided not to play e4 anymore and now I am an English player . I am play c4 as white lol.

wtf?dude u really sswitched to c4 instead of  e4 because of some random pawn pussh by black?..wht? ooof .. i just play chess against pirc ,modern, owen(just giving centre for no reason, i dont know why people allow that and try to fight back later ,but ok its proven that approach is absolutely fine)  but caro i need to know critical lines or else i will get smashed since caro is really good with pawn breaks and stuff , i know white is ahead most of the times against caro but i should study my lines to get the advantage from the opening !

Watch this Video by IM Eric Rosen on how to beat the Caro-Kan

There is no setup to beat the Caro Kann, any more than the Slav, London, Scotch, Ruy, or Italian. There are tougher lines, but that is why we study Chess.

indeed. I have to say, reading much after I posted, that okay, yeah the CK is sometimes Hard to Deal with. But it's Only Natural that you Feel this way being a Newcomer. To Save you Some Time, I would Stick to Studying The Advance Caro•Kann or as IM phren stated, the Panov-Botvinnik Attack. For Me, I'm Good with it~BUT Other Inexperienced CK Players MAY NOT Be, You Get It? It's All Relative. Play Within Yourself. Within Your Own Chess Philosophy. Keep Grinding or Better Yet, JUST Enjoy Yourself! Don't EVER Worry About the Things You CAN'T Control. Just be Capable (or Strive to Be) of Playing Chess the Right Way. Your Way. Nuff said. AND Just play, because playin's always the Thing with Me (And should Be with You too)✌🏽

Presumably a player of your skill should realize you can't "destroy" a well respected defense. Advance is most challenging, but also isn't a good stylistic match for some people.
