I think this is a way to kill the london system, or at least easily equalise
After this position, even the opening explorer agrees!
I might be wrong. Anyone care to disprove me, or discuss this?
(Move 8)
The position you showed is better for black. However, the original position is not the starting position of the London System. The London System arises after:
After this move black at least equalizes rather simply. Your line is fine, but here is how I always play as black against this:
I am not sure how you reached the position in the diagram, so could you please post a series of moves? Thanks.
You can't even reconstruct two missing moves?
There's no reason for anyone to allow white to get an advantage in a London system if you're playing black. I have a friend rated about 1800 who plays the London, and I always get the advantage against him as black even though he is playing the most theoretically correct moves. When that sort of thing is happening to an opening, that's how you know an opening is garbage.
If I'm not mistaken, Kamsky uses the modern London move order (1.d4 d5 2.Bf4) which does not allow that line, e.g. 2...Nf6 3.e3 c5 4.c3 Nc6 5.Nd2.
Using that move order, one has also the option of switching with 4.Nc3 to "Jobava attack" stuff:
You can consider your claims of killing the London system as slightly exaggerated... the line you mentioned is fine (used it myself in the past to pick an easy point) but hardly forced.
in russia language in youtube Nm Yar Sanich made video how to kill the london system and it's work
What line did he suggest?
What line did he suggest?
His suggestion is something like 1.d4 e6 2.Nf3 c5, which is pretty useless: it allows white both the French, and open Sicilians with 2...e6, hoping that white won't be familiar with them...
1....e6 and 1...g6 both avoid the London rather than kill it. Anyway you would have to know in advance that they would play the London and white could just play 2.c4 or 2.e4 or anything else like pfren said and your plan is pointless.
So?
I think the critical line after 1.d4 d5 2.Bf4 c5 is 3.e4!? when Black does best declining the reverse Albin, and go 3...Nc6, when the position is sharp, and about equal, IF you have done your homework.
