Instructive Quickie

I felt bad for my opponent and friend in this game. He played some moves that clearly violated openning principals and was soundly punished. I came up with no brilliancies. It just played itself.

I think it's a very instructive example of what not to do and why, especially for beginners.

It's also instructive on how to take advantage of your opponents' mistakes in the opennings.

Enjoy!

Good example......major violation of principles.......developed queen too early and didn't castle before mounting an attack......recipie for disaster. King safety priority number 1 for me .......usually, and when it's not it's usually certain defeat.

I meant to mention not castling, but I don't know if you can go back in and edit the comments.

I learned these principles the hard way. I thank my senior club members for teaching me much during post-mortem kibbitzes. This is why I post games like this.
