Invinted a new opening trap, how do i get it named after me?

Sort:
FancyKnight

Seriously though, when I was lower rated, I used to get the ruy lopez steinitz variation every once in a while. ~90% of opponents fell face first into this trap.

ponz111

It is a nice trap but since others have played the trap before you--it is hard to say you invented it.

TheGrobe

He didn't say that -- he said he invinted it.

ponz111

Yes he can say he "invinted" and then he can define "invinted" if he wishes.

So my error.

FancyKnight

Exactly.

FancyKnight

How about this:

Invint (verb) :  To discover something previously known.

macer75

Very similar to this opining, which I've played several times:

... and rejected as inferior

That's actually pretty precise, considering the other "invinted" threads

FancyKnight

There's exactly one game with this trap in chess.com:

Paul_A_88

Cool but you just publicized it

Not really invented

If you were an gm then you could get your name on it

So work hard and become one...

Ya I agree

That's the Fried Liver. Strong attack it is, hmmm?

qiusi

first, you gotta become a GM....

I'm not sure anyone would use a trap called "the Fancy Knight."

You will need to wait until FIDE invints an Opining Trap Naming Cimmitee. Then, simply sibmit your invintion, and wait see what they dicide.

Maybe one of those Invintion Sibmission companies that advirtise on TV can issist you.

This opening works for me

I'm not sure about an opening trap named "Fancy Knight" but isn't that the name a questionable establishment from Medieval Europe.

The_Worstiest

Interesting trap. Before i played this line and thought that the position was about equal, with black avoiding white to castle kingside.
