None of these are bullet matches.
Just more engine book theory testing
@Dyslexic_Goat you need to get a good opening book specificaly made for engine matches. Otherwise you'll keep getting such bad games. Stockfish 11 really doesn't know how to play French properly.

Goat-
I don't know if an opening book is what you need. Who's to say one is better than the other?
Maybe you can test specific variations of openings and create your own book. Then test it against others. Maybe you can teach the hybrid SF to play the French Defence (or another opening). I've never played it myself as Black.

What I use is a custom openings book developed from my own testing and a collection of matches from other sources. The goal for me isn't to have a perfect, 100% draw rate on every opening with every engine; I'm here to explore new potential ideas. Those may include areas of weakness from engine play, but also areas where engines deviate from the established mainlines into relatively unexplored territory. Thus, when an engine loses it's interesting to find out why, etc.

Any updates? What have you found?
I'm thrilled to say that I've found a specific line that our current engine overlords are very weak to. This line keeps showing up again and again when the bots choose to play the French without fully understanding it:
Of course...I mean are you going to keep up with these white paper bullet games?
I dont have your hardware, which is interesting that with 'inferior' hardware my Sf11 engine says a6.
lol what a joke. Yeah, a6.....what do you know. Also says nodes: 7.97 billion. So it ends up at Qb6 eh? Crazy.
