KID v Samich

When I play the Saemisch, most people are dead lost by move 8, and I've lost only 1 or 2 games with it. It really has to be studied if you want to play the KID.

I have played a couple of games in LSS against the c4-c5 line. Both went without any particular issues for Black.

Why is c5 a line? It seems to damage White's queenside structure after Black takes, and preventing White from playing an opposite sides castling game like he usually does in the Saemisch, and it seems Black can take the life out of the position, and get a comfortable endgame.

Wow is white a wuss or what

I see. Most of my opponents don't attack on the queenside until it's too late, or they play a b5 pawn sac without enough of an attack. So I have never really had Black pose any problems. Thank you!

I recently took up the Samisch with white and have had much better results than in other systems. A lot of players don't seem to realize that getting a queenside attack going is a necessity for black. This is especially true when white castles queenside--then it's a race to see whose attack gets there first.

Specific move orders depend on how white plays, but if they castle queenside remember that your black-square bishop is vital, never exchange it even to win the exchange or a couple of pawns.

So true. It's a different plan than the other KID systems, and you have to know what you're doing, even at the master level it's tough, and most players at my level just don't know what they're doing. I almost never get a menacing attack directed my way.
