I recommend KIA setups versus Black‘s ...e6 say the French or Sicilian with ...e6. By the way, I always preferred the tricky Qe2 instead of Nbd2.
With Black after the thrust e5 ...Ne8 is interesting. Following b5-b4, Ne8-c7-b5 eyeing d4&c3. The Q shouldn’t be on c7, needless to say.
By the way, some four knights books discuss 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 Nc3 Nf6 4 g3.
