Not solved. This was an April Fools Day joke.

I agree with the observation that if you don't have every variation memorized, it's not solved!
Personally I love reaching, by transposition, a position favorable to White in the King's Gambit Declined that can be reached through the Vienna Game or Bishop's Opening: 1e4 e5 2 Bc4 Nf6 3 d3 Nc6 4 Nc3 Bc5 (or ...d6) 5 f4!? In Tseitlin, et al's book The Complete Vienna, 5 f4 is labeled as "forced!" in the positive sense.

But Black is fine in king's gambit declined!
I recall reading an article a few years ago that said that an engine had solved certain lines of the kings gambit by weeding out the sub-lines that were bad and analyzing the rest to conclusion.
Does anyone have a link to this article or know of anything similar? Have there been any (successful) attempts to solve certain openings with brute force calculation?
