Kings Gambit

Today , the King's Gambit is largely ignored. I have used it with success in a few tournaments. Why , then , is it considered a weak opening? 

It works by blowing the opponent off the board. Usually my opponents are helpless to prevent the impending slaughter.

ive been whippin a few players with the KG as well, until my opponent who actually knew how to play against it used the fisher defense and i got into a bad middle game! lol~ guess it all comes down to the opponent

True. There's this player I know who uses every opening against me. He's an expert on the opening and endgame. But no , you won't see him as a world champ. Maybe a national champ , but that's all.

I'm looking ofr a solid opening now. I want to win , every day.
