King's Indian Defense

I've been playing the Queen's Gambit for over a year now.  My little brother is my mortal enemy.  He keeps playing the King's Indian Defense and clobbering me.  I looked it up on the game explorer here, but the search is too broad.  I need to enter players into the search.  Who should I study to learn about this game?

Related question: I'm woefully ignorant about the Grunsfield.  Are these related?

The Grünfeld is the main hypermodern alternative to the KID. I heard more about it a few years ago, now I see a lot more about the KID.

I'm not a wealth of resources but if all else fails you could play e4.

for the KID, if you're really afraid of black's kingside stuff you could play f3, g4, and castle queenside.  for the Grunfeld, the idea is to let white get a big pawn center and attack it with everything and the kitchen sink.  basically the main line you need to know is d4 Nf6 c4 g6 Nc3 d5 cxd5 Nxd5 e4 Nxc3 bxc3 Bg7 Nf3 c5 Rb1!  This move stops Bg4, as it can be met by Rxb7, stops an immediate Qa5, as Qa5 can be met with Rb5! and whichever pawn black takes, white will take it back on c5 with a development advantage and a better position.  Rb1 also stops Nc6, as it can be met with d5! and after Bxc3 Bd7 Bxd7 Qxd7 Nb8 Qc3, white picks up the pawn back on c5 with a better position.

The quick fix is play 1. d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 Trompowski or 1. d4 nf6 2. Nc3 150 attack..

The KID is something you are going to have to spend some time with to decide what you like. There are a several different systems and you probably should be familiar with a little bit of all of them to play effectively.

Try the bayonet attack.

I always thought of the bayonet attack in a more literal sense... but that works too I guess
