Latvian Gambit Tournament!

TOURNAMENT ENTRY IS NOW CLOSED!

I am going to hold a Latvian Gambit Knockout tournament (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f5). Here's how it's going down:

-16 players, no more, no less

-groups of two

-each player plays with both colors in a round

-1 or 3 days per move (either 1 for both games or 3 for both games)

-games must be started with the Latvian Counter-Gambit position. It's C40 around the end of the list. Click C40: Latvian Counter-Gambit and name the game Latvian KO Tournament and Round #.

-Remember that you must play both colors against the same opponent in the round.

As far as pairings go, for round 1, it will be by when you entered the tournament (1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, etc. I'll make the pairings when I can ASAP.

In case of a draw in the section (example- both players in a group draw both games), both players advance to the next round. That means there might have to be a group of three, which isn't a big deal.

Until you say your in the tournament, I'm gonna assume you aren't. You can't leave a black post in my thread and assume you're in the tournament.

Wow! I just noticed that you can get the starting position for a lot of gambits when you issue a challenge!
