Seems like white can bail with 10.d3 0-0 11.0-0 Nd5 12.Nf3 e4 13.Nd4 Qd7 14.Qb8 and the queen now can escape to g3 if needed.
At any rate, now you need to look at 8.Be2 and 8.Bd3.
Black can improve over the line I posted:

So white would have to play 13.Nbd2 there to prevent the trap from being as effective.
Going back over your original analysis, You dismissed 10.Ne4. What do you have for 10.Ne4 Qd7 11.Nxf6 Bxf6 12.Qf3 Bb7 13.Qg3?
This is a clear refutation of 8.Qf3 in the main line of the Two Knights' Defense. Black has to find just one move at the start of the sequence and Black has a powerful attack. Black has the initiative with good prospect for a win if White makes one or two second best moves.
