Hello! Im an 1600-1650 elo player. Recently i’ve been changing my repertoire but i dont have anything for black. I just want something solid but with lots of theory but not like a najdorf to example. Video recommendations are welcome.

Since you are playing the queen’s gambit as white, I would really recommend the caro kann and slav defences. The thing with these two openings is that you always have some new theory ideas to learn but they aren’t really complicated. Reason why these two defences exactly: 1) caro scores the best against e4, slav is on the verge of having winning stats for black. 2) caro is one of the better choices for queens gambit players since the exchange is literally exchange queens gambit declined and the advanced gives you a big center but only later in the game. I recommend the Bf5 e6 Ne7 Nd7 caro since it is the more flexible of the two main caros(the other one is immediate c5 french defence style) since black can actually never even play c5 and go for f6 immediately, also it gives great counterattacking chances. As for the slav I recommend either the schlechter with Be6(a VERY niche pick but extremely powerful, with potential dxc4 or f6 e5 ideas) or the open slav(since you already know what white does to recover the pawn). This is a repertoire that I gave to my father and he already starts to win some games against me, give it a try

Against the dreaded London System, you can play the following (=King's Indian Defense):

Carlsen - Liren. London System - King's Indian Defense

Note that Bg5? is a losing move.
