Hello

ThrillerFan

What a waste of a post, and they aren't even all bad.

The Schallop Defense is actually not that bad (1.e4 e5 2.f4 Nf6). It is a legit way of declining the Gambit. It just isn't one of the strongest lines that borderline refutes the Kings Gambit.

Schallop Defense is in the KGA: 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.Nf3 Nf6

Sorry about the confusion. Yes, the Schallop is in the accepted. But there IS actually a KGD line with 2...Nf6, and it's not bad. Not as good as other lines that actually give Black the Advantage (YES, the King's Gambit is THAT BAD!), but Black can actually still maintain an equal game with it.

Worst opening for white is f3 g4
