The KID is totally fine, keep that as Black against d4, against e4 play e5, and as White play either e4 or d4 and then just develop normally. KIA/KID is fine, it’s just that neither is the best, and they’re both systems at lower levels so you won’t get any real experience playing in them as you’ll pretty much just be premoving the same six or seven moves as both colors and ending up in the same positions over and over. It’s not a good strategy long-term

Hello dear chess-community,
I recently started to learn chess and especially chess-openings. At the moment I like to play the Kings Indian Defense as black and the Kings Indian Attack as white. I use these openings against everything and wonder if that truly works in the long run or if complementing with other openings is better.
