Opening Theory Ignored=Catastrophe.. Post your games

I've been reading alot lately about openings, theory and preferece.  Which opens are better for beginers or which are likely to be open vs. closed.  This Thread is for games where basic opening theory is ignored and either you or your opponent is punished for it!

Please post your games and which Systems were used and what theories or basic principles were violated resulting in dissaster. ;)

Here is a game where I played a typical Pirc set-up as black against my opponent who lead with bishop's before his knights ignoring an obvious threat which resulted in a quick loss for white.

you wouldn't see a poor pirc like that on that level on chessbase unless it was a bullit game.

Is why in the OP I used words like Catastrophe and violating opening theory..  Other games played agianst same person in same day are not like this..  not sure i agree with your analysis about the rook being a blunder the blunder was allowing blacks queen down range, or perhaps the choice to advance the bishops in that way so early..  I had other options then to take the rook.  Do you have any games which you can post to highlight opening systems and principles?  i'd love to see them.

not sure I understand that was pretty standard by the book czech defense although as black that is a pretty standard pirc like formation, and how is poor if it won in 12 moves against a clear non ametuer.. sheesh, tough crowd

You HM, you got some good opening disasters,,? lol.. I got tons both of my own and my opponents..

In my opinion the topic should not be opening theory ignored but opening principles ignored. As long as you develop your pieces, castle and connect your rooks you need to know 0 opening theory and get a normal playable position.

The D3, The C6, The BG5. The only good move about this game for a pirc opening is D6. Its not the theoretical pirc to blame in this game. What does c6 do to counter a poor opening D3. At least continue to develop pieces with Bg7, 0-0, ect.

Is he worried about the BE3, Qd2, 0-0-0 to go c6 white is castleing kingside anyway. I don't think an imediate threat to the queenside is correct. Poorly played with the queen exchange. I play those all the time but I'm not 1650 blitz.

everybody plays different I did say pirc like formation, and c6 is the czech defense.  Also, considering the quick win I"d say my moves choices and were accurate to my opponent.  The pirc is by nature a slower to develop open before tactics type thing and the queen move was more to prevent white's chances at o-o and further pressure f2.  Also I am not a have to castle kinda player I amost never play a game where I intend to castle.  Always wait and see..  The purpose of the thread was for others to post games about openings not a prolonged critique of mine.  If my play was poor awesome, Im gonna keep playing as poorly as possible if it gets me wins like that :))
