I don't know who is interested, but I will answer my own question - there is a free program called SCID; it allows you to create your own database from a selection of PGNs; it then has an opening explorer (and I think other features.)
I have been using this to help learn my opening repertoire by playing off hand games against the bots on here (50 or so a week) and then I can open the explorer to see what moves I have made (check for consistency) , what my win percentage is (white v black pieces) and if there are particular responses that have been troubling me.
If you save your own games in the format on here your can sort the files to just see your white games, or just your black.
Is there a way to have an openings explorer of just my games? Or rather a selection of games I have uploaded.
Currently I am trying to submit my openings repertoire to memory; I am using the facility on Chess Tempo to rehearse the moves, but I have struck on the idea of playing lots of games against the bots on here - the bots give a bit of variety, rather than just the lines I have put on Chess tempo, so I can just get a feel for being off the set lines, and also using the bots means I can play 10+ games a day at my own pace, rather than playing blitz against people, using the bots I can do a speed run if I feel like it, and also I have the opportunity to stop and consider the positions without any clock.
I notice in this and other sites I can explore openings of the whole DB or just games played online etc etc, but is there a way on any site (or app) to explore just the openings of a set of PGN files that I upload?
