Hmm ... how about this one at height 2 played in 2,244 master games according to Game Explorer?
Pure bishop openings
Dafy: U are pedantic blindly following ECO terminology. A bishop opening is everything where U move only pawns and bishops, dats clear.
Okay dudes, I found the official Rybka's classification of bishop openings after 1.e4 e5 :
- 2...Bc4 +0.04
- 2...Be2 +0.00
- 2...Bd3 -0.04
- 2...Bb5 -0.07
Conclusion: 1.e4 e5 2.Be2! is definitely an underestimated opening!
Actually, I tried it in 1 game recently.
Here's a funny opening 1.e3 b6 2. Be2 Bb7 3.Bf3, kinda bishops opposition, of height 2 with the score around strict 0 :

I don't really understand those classifications. Please clarify.
Sorry, I spoke just about evaluations of openings by Rybka available on the web.
how can 2.Bb5 be worse than 2.Bd3
Obvious, no? If there's no knight on Nf6, Bb5 is virtually useless move.

Damn, there are no bishop openings at height 0, U should move at least 1 pawn.
