With all due respect to your rating, your hardware and DB, I don't think the dragon can be refuted.

If I was more familiar with it, I'd take you on :)

If you dont find an expert, I'd still give it a try, but I've never played it in my life. (I'll use stockfish)

Be a gent and leave it un-refuted. Allow us Dragon players our fun.

I love the dragon and have spent hours studying it, so while I might not be your level, I think I might be able to help in the opining (up to move 20 or so)

sooner or later, you need to wake up to reality and play a real opening, like the najdorf. Cool

Because your a dragon player, you dont know the word reality. I'll be nice and define it for you. Laughing

Reality:the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them.

xxvalakixx

Correct openings cannot be refuted.

Or else why would Garry Kasparov and other famous chess players still use it? If Anand loses to it, then it's not refuted.

Does Kasparov still use it? In what, coffeehouse games?

Well, Kasparov quit professional chess in 2005, so he's probably out of pracice, and, he used it against Anand in a match.

More precisely, the 1995 WC match, with which he scored an impressive +2 =2 -0. This is what made people stop believing the opening was refuted.

Not sure about modern theory, but surely anyone who kept Fischer's "refutation" of sac-sac-mate is going to be blown up by someone who is bookep up.

There is no sac-sac-mate - Fischer himself played the Dragon, Najdorf and Dragondorf. He is basically contradicting himself.

The Bg7 in the Dragon is a great defender of the king, it covers key squares like h6 and h8. The opening is definitely not refuted.

Did the Dragondorf even exist when Fischer was active?
