Ruy Lopez/ Worrall Attack - Chess Forums

I found this attack variation of the Roy Lopez, but can anyone help me analyse the benefits of this, as I can't quite see how the variation helps.... even though I am thinking about using it!

taking the pawn at e4 is playable for black but white gets the pawn back:) its called the open ruy lopez

I play the mainline Ruy Lopez, but I do know some things about the Worrall. For one, it has less theory. White usually tries to play Rd1, c3, and d4. I think it is inferior to the mainline, but is certainly playable.
